5-star review @ Undertoner.dk

English translation:

“Silver Gleaming Sound Machine has coined the term “krautpop” to describe their music, a mix of 1970s krautrock and 1960s pop. These two genres work together wonderfully, despite their differences, when Silver Gleaming Sound Machine combines them into their own velvet dark and mystical world. It is a world that quickly sets upon the listener, spiralling ones thoughts towards the far corners of existence, creating in the ears of this listener a magical musical place all of its own.”

“I firmly believe that SGSM will not fall into obscurity. Their delightfully dark and different pop rock is in the eyes of this critic so promising and skilfully crafted that they might just have what it takes to attract the attention of the music community at large, regardless of recording budget sizes. All Tomorrow’s Gardens has in any case left me hungry for more.”  (*****)

5-star Gaffa review

The Silver Gleaming Sound Machine Mini Album got its first review through the Danish music magazne Gaffa:

“Promising and decidedly outstanding album from the Aarhus sound machine. (…) Here catchy melodies drop in and out of an imaginative and playful orchestration and it doesn’t take long before the many nuances of the songs form in the ear of the listener a captivating musical synthesis. The songs are richly layered and always on the verge of both lush pop melodies as well as more free reining musical digressions. (…) More songs, next time around.” Gaffa *****(*)
and in Danish:

(…) Flere sange næste gang, tak.” Gaffa *****(*)

Release 2009

Then it finally happened, in a blaze af sound and feedback we released our mini-album ”All tomorrow’s garden”. It took place at Fairbar here in our lovely hometown (Aarhus) and the turnout was great. There was free beer and free everything, except for the cds and vinyl records – they still cost money, albeit not a lot.

We have now begun the laborious task of mailing press material and cds to critics, booking agents, management boys and girls – you name it – and thus we hope to generate some cosmic buzz about our kraut-popping songs and then, hopefully, in the future we will be able to tour a little more than what has been the case so far. Live and loud is the way to go…

And don’t forget – cds and vinyls can be purchased at our homepage www.sgsm.dk as well as at www.myspace.com/silvergleamingsoundmachine
