Support for Casiokids (NO) on January 19
Silver Gleaming Sound Machine is playing @ Musikcafeeen (Huset i Magstræde) in Copenhagen on Tuesday. We are supporting Casiokids from Norway..
Casiokids
Old analogue, trashy keyboards and pop melodies make up the Norwegian electro-troupe that is Casiokids. With tunes often sung in their native language and influenced by afro-beat, techno and out-and-out pop, the band draws similarities and takes inspiration from Paul Simon’s “Graceland”, Ivor Cutler, New Order, King Tubby, Bob Hund, Cornelius and Fela Kuti.

Silver Gleaming Sound Machine will be playing @ Godsbanen on the 9th of October 2009.
Release 2009
Then it finally happened, in a blaze af sound and feedback we released our mini-album ”All tomorrow’s garden”. It took place at Fairbar here in our lovely hometown (Aarhus) and the turnout was great. There was free beer and free everything, except for the cds and vinyl records – they still cost money, albeit not a lot.
We have now begun the laborious task of mailing press material and cds to critics, booking agents, management boys and girls – you name it – and thus we hope to generate some cosmic buzz about our kraut-popping songs and then, hopefully, in the future we will be able to tour a little more than what has been the case so far. Live and loud is the way to go…

Øst for Paradis – music video release
SGSM and Super 8 are celebrating the release of the musicvideo for the new tune: “Don’t believe in towns, no”.
The release starts at 10:00 am – and we will besides showing the video – also serve a light breakfast and play a couple of our new tunes live..

All tomorrow’s gardens – EP release
In late February, SGSM will finish recording for the upcoming SGSM EP release “All Tomorrow’s gardens”. The final drum recordings will take place at a public gymnasium in Aarhus, where the large room will provide ambience and reverberation to ensure the “60s” drum sound we are aiming for…
The EP will be release on vinyl – and on CD!
On the 29th of May we will have our EP release party at Fairbar. And you are all more than wellcome to an intemate evening with SGSM.

SGSM is playing at the Karrierekanon 2009 showcase in Aarhus tomorrow (Thursday the 19th of March) – the editors of the Karrierekanon 2009 reviewed the SGSM song Drunken Hearts Get Hung All Over Town (in Danish) as follows:
